Matilda J Story
Tilly Story has joined the Norfield staff as Youth Director.
She is currently completing a masters degree in Nutrition for Global Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in London, UK. By November of 2016, she will be a Public Health Nutritionist. In May of 2015, Tilly graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelors degree in Nutritional Science and a minor in Food Science. During her undergrad, Tilly traveled to India, Argentina and South Africa on a comparative public health program to examine the health systems in each country. This experience was the driving force behind her pursuing a masters in Nutrition for Global Health.
Tilly also works for Hartford Food Systems in Hartford, CT as the Little City Sprouts Program Coordinator. In this position, she designs and implements programs for preschoolers centered around nutrition, cooking and gardening. She hopes that by encouraging discussions about food at a young age, healthy habits will be formed later in life.
Outside of academics and work, Tilly enjoys swimming, skiing and spending time outdoors. She is interested in anything food related such as cooking and gardening and often experiments with unique ingredients. Tilly loves to talk about food and nutrition with all who are interested and hopes to spread her passion to others. She also loves spending time with her family and hopes one day to start a family band.
