"He who has been forgiven much, loves much." - Jesus (Luke 7:47)
MJ joined the Norfield team in 2012 after serving in Ghana, West Africa as a missionary for two years. She currently serves as the Office Manager for Norfield Congregational Church. She is originally from Miami, Fl and a graduate of the University of Florida (Go Gators!) with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Business Administration.
While at the University of Florida, MJ served as an ambassador for the College of Journalism and Communications; a SESP (Student Enrichment Services Program) Peer Counselor mentoring 30-35 incoming freshman her sophomore, junior and senior years. She also served as the Public Relations Chair for the Campus Ministry of her church at the time, Showers of Blessings. During her last semester in school, MJ studied abroad in Tanzania (East Africa) at the University of Dar-es-Salaam and volunteered for three months after her program at a local church in Nairobi, Kenya. Upon returning home, she decided to dedicate her life entirely to ministry.
While in Ghana, she served under the ministry of Bishop Dag Heward-Mills in the alumni office of Anagkazo Bible Training Seminary. Her primary responsibility was to monitor the progress of 150-200 pastors (graduates of the seminary) on the mission field. Upon her return to the states, she helped establish the First Love Church Manhattan, a ministry for young adults ages 18-25, where she served as assistant to the Lady Pastor Anita Asmah. She has relocated to Connecticut for worship and is looking forward to the opportunities the Lord has in store for her future as she begins fellowship with New Beginnings Church of Darien,CT.
