Discovery Hour

Norfield’s Church School is called Discovery Hour. Discovery Hour classes are held during the Sunday morning worship service, and include youth from pre-k to 8th grade. Families begin worshiping together in the sanctuary. Then, after the Children’s Sermon, the youth and their teachers proceed to the Christian Education Building. We spend time together in the chapel participating in toe-taping, Christian musical activities that familiarize us with old songs and introduces us to new ones. After the music program, the youth gather in the classrooms by grade to learn wonderful stories of the Bible. We are delighted with our Faith Weaver Curriculum, which helps our youth not only understand the lesson of the Bible, but also shows them how to apply the lessons in everyday lives. Our curriculum also has an “at home” component that allows families to continue the lessons together and participate in engaging Christian family activities.
